Ug. Gotta get a mafia lynch today or it's game over. Normally I'd go after Linkcat since he's in danger of being modkilled, but that's not a good enough reason at this point in the game, I don't think.
qwerter: What was your reasoning for leaning scum on Linkcat?
Anyone else have any suspicions?
Here's what I observed from voting patterns and activity:
* ian - Activity: fairly vocal, but kinda forced into it by flyingcat's accusations. The way that whole thing went down leads me to believe ian is town, which is unfortunate for us (since flyingcat was town, too). Leaning town. Voting: when he wasn't voting for flyingcat, he was with the bandwagon. Neutral. Overall: leaning town.
* Kuro - Activity: Fairly quiet until recently. That helps his cred, imo, as I see that as a townie who became more vocal as the game started to become in jeopardy. Not really sure why scum would wait until that point to start being chatty. Leaning town. Voting patterns: every day dd voted, Kuro either didn't vote or voted with him. The more I think about this, though, the less I am convinced that mafia would necessarily go against dd's voting pattern. Going with the conf townie every day is a safe strategy for mafia not wanting to give any scumtells. So, either way, doesn't tell us much. Neutral. Overall: leaning town.
* Linkcat - Activity: Almost completely silent the entire game. Not a bad strategy in a simple game like this if he's mafia. Also missed a few votes, though, so it could just mean he's busy IRL (sky was town and was about the same). That said, I gotta make some guesses, so... barely leaning mafia. Voting: Didn't vote twice (including yesterday). Every other day he voted with the majority/bandwagon. Same conclusion as I got from his activity - he's either slow playing mafia or barely playing townie. barely leaning mafia. Overall: leaning mafia.
* qwerter - Activity: His RQS mentioned elk as a good mafia liar. Could definitely play WIFOM on this, but doesn't seem like a smart move if he were mafia. Other than that he was fairly quiet until Kuro semi-accused him of being mafia. Been a little more active since then. Again, not sure that says anything either way. Leaning town. Voting: The problem with Kuro's "mainly followed theelkspeaks' voting pattern" is that he only voted with elk once - the day elk was lynched. This is in the negative column for him, but it's not as strong of an argument as Kuro made it out to be. Outside of that, qwerter went with the dd bandwagon every day dd voted except twice: the day elk was killed (he voted on flyingcat instead of elk) and the day flyingcat was killed (he voted on Kuro - a self-proclaimed OMGUS). I honestly don't know what to make of qwerter. Neutral. Overall: Leaning town.
* UTAlan - Activity: I've been trying to be more active this game than in previous ones. As I mentioned before, there are virtually no power roles in this setup, so I have no way to band up with other semi-confirmed or confirmed civvies. This meant a more active role in analyzing everyone's actions and trying to do my best to help find mafia (obviously this hasn't gone well, given our lynching record so far). Voting: Looking at my voting record, outside of Day 1 (was too lazy to switch to dd when it was clear he was gonna be lynched) and Day 2 (missed the deadline and didn't vote), I went with the majority. My strategy was basically figure out who dd was voting for and go with him, in the hopes that he had a better idea than me. He at least knew the Purifiers, which I'm sure helped us avoid lynching them.
So yeah, that's my wall of text analysis of each surviving player. My mafia skills need work, apparently, since I think at least one mafia player is town. >.< But I'll go with my gut for now and vote for the one member I'm leaning toward being mafia:
Linkcat (1): UTAlan
