Down with Aether! Aether trialist so suspicious

“Halt before the glory of Aether!” the draconic guard screamed through the night. He didn't quite see what was coming, but he heard the footsteps on the cobblestone bridge. But the man - or people - did not seem to listen. The footsteps were coming closer, approaching the Aetherial Palace.

“You won't get away with this. To arms, men, to arms!" said the guard, while reinforcement arrived from the palace. The guard from the archtower was a High Elf Mage, one of the psiotic spellcasters. She charged her magic powers to create a lightning bolt to then be released into the darkness.

The magic lighted up the area and the outlines of an incoming mass revealed. One of them glowed in purplish color, and was preparing a countermagic, a last heritage of the Fallen Elfs. The two elves' powers resonated, and the Fallen Elf could redirect the attack to himself, showing a sacrifice for the greater good.

"As expected... But now is your chance to charge, my friends..." his last words echoed through the night while he faded away.

The draconic guard then summoned a Phase Spider. The creature charged at the crowd and devoured 2 innocent people, leaving no remains to then later identify the bodies. Little did he know, a man from the crowd with a stone shield charged at the spider, tackling him to the ground. While the spider was on the ground, a wondrous creature with bright red aura stepped forward and burned the spider to ashes.

"From where you came, you shall remain. For who you took, I'll take your remains."

The guards were speechless for a moment.

“You’re strong,” the guard said. “Who are you? And what do you want from us?” The wondrous creature looked up, revealing the flames in his eyes.

The town swooped down on Zawadx, believing him to be part of the aether conspiracy, and quickly prepared him for death.  As Zawadx came to an end, a faint crackle of lightning could be heard.
