In my opinion though mid-game withdrawals disrupts the game more. I get your point, but for a person who quits the game mid-game, shouldn't have joined it to begin with, so hence I think a one or two game ban should be punishment enough. Honestly if you're active this rule wouldn't apply at all to you, so really I'm okay with either side

What qwerter said. Withdrawal does disrupt the game and is bad for team spirit, and so we agreed that repeatedly withdrawing would also be punishable. Like you said, it's similar to leagues; if you can't be active enough we'll have to ban you for a few mafias.

Okay, then I think it should be stated as mid game withdrawls AND repeated withdrawls. And then what decides mid-game? How many repeats, 2, 3? If its repeated mid game withdrawls but for viable reasons each time I still think the person shouldnt be punished. But the viable reasons would have to be abrupt.

A vote or two changes the game. Someone who doesn't want anything to do with the game anymore shouldn't be forced to influence the game. But of course you can differ, you don't need to be for it. All conversation is welcome.

Some people wanted to join the game and have legitimate reasons to leave. People shouldn't be punished for joining then leaving if they well they have to.

They won't. However if you join and leave games repeatedly, then we can say that you shouldn't be allowed to sign up for some time while you sort out your issues. "Anyone who doesn't want anything to do with the game shouldn't have joined in the first place" - Withdrawing mid-game can seriously disrupt the game, and we want to discourage this sort of behavior.

I'm sure I could come with a fancy equation for the definition of mid-game given the amount of players and how many have skills that can kill/save other players during the night and day cycles, but for the most part; don't quit after the day/night 2. Repeated offenses I would say is 2-3, depending on the reasoning and circumstances; I hate to flex my power here, but I will decide whether or not a player can or shall be permitted to join a mafia game.

Speaking of which, if you become AFK during a few repeated/consecutive mafias, you may be temporarily disallowed from future mafias for practical reasons. >_>

If they have a legitimate reason, they won't be penalised. As stated in the rules.
