Can we add a rule? If a person says they've withdrawn from mafia, that's as good as the hosts word. The punishment for falsely withdrawing is ban for the next mafia. Some of the rules I think should be treated like CL and BL's not getting enough matches in, ban from the next one, instead of all future ones because people do mature. Though, I'm not the best one to speak because most of those rules were created because of me.

I don't think we need that kind of rule. I think the ones who want to withdraw should PM the host and then the host should just modkill them.

Illogical. Why would it change who wins?

Say someone who is being voted on by the majority of the group who is civvie decides they want to withdraw, the host might not see they wanted to withdraw and thus day ends and that person who wanted to withdraw dies, instead the group, if it was effective immeditatly, could vote on a different person because their vote is invalid now and a 2nd civvie would die if its not effective immediatly.

Please, before calling it "illogical" say "unexplained"

While I doubt the host would end the day without looking through his PMs for mafia stuff, Crockett does have a point since it speeds up the game, if we have to wait for the host, he might have to extend the day so that people have to to change their vote, and on top of that some people might miss it if they think the day is already over.

One thing not in the rules that should be is HOW TO PLAY MAFIA. Seriously, it is a tiny link to a different forum in this and at least one previous mafia, which has lead to mafia newbies (myself included) having to ask people and fiddle around with this other website. Spoiler it if you must, but is it that hard to post the actual rules of the game?

 Just realised that the civvypad was half mafia lol. They could have recruited me if they wanted to as well XD

all I had to do was survive. I could choose what team to be on. I was hanging around in the middle and no one really contacted me for an alliance afaik

Hmm, I think officially withdrawing in the thread seems ok to me (though it must be clear to everyone that you're withdrawing). And 'future mafias' doesn't necessarily mean ALL future Mafia; the ban might be lifted on a case by case basis. Remember, the details of banning from future games rests solely on the hands of the Forum Games Organizers.

Personally I'd say the link to mafiascum wiki was sufficient, cause it allows you to learn pretty much everything you needed to know without having to ask questions. But that website is down now so I'll come up with a Mafia intro rules.
