Mafia theme: House M.D.
You are in the Princeton Plainsboro hospital. Because we have found regular hidden dead bodies recently, nobody is allowed to leave the hospital until we find the murderers.


 Either you are a doctor (cop), trying to save the patients.
 Or you could be yourself a patient (civvie), just waiting to be saved by a doctor.
Or you could be an incompetent nurse (mafia), you actually try to help the patient but you end up killing him because you suck.




Characters:

House: You are a doctor, EVERYBODY LIES. So if you investigate someone, you're going to get a false answer, all the time. If you are House, you know that you are House. That does not mean you know the role of the person, because there are 3 categories, to know an exact role you need to check it twice.

Other doctors: You are a doctor, yes you save lives, but nobody cares about you. House is the cool dude. You could be naive (everybody is a patient), like you could be paranoid( everybody is a nurse ), or sane (Your investigations are correct). There - might - be a non-house insane cop. (everybody lies again)

Nurses: Everybody hates you. All you do is kill a person each night. Boo.

Patients: If you are in the hospital, it is because you are sick ... or not.
   -Vanilla patients: you are actually not sick. Doctor solves your problem in a second a half.

   -Sick patients: You actually have a power to influence the game!
      -Lupus: trololololol. If you die, A random alive Doctor is revealed to everybody. Will target a non-House doctor if possible.

      -Tuberculosis: You sneeze when somebody comes in your room. If the incompetent nurses come in your room to ''try to help'', one of them will die.

      -Cardiomyopathy: You need a heart surgery. NAO. When any doctor investigates you, your surgery will be done by Dr Robert Chase ( naive doctor ). Both you and Chase will know about his identity, but not the doctor that investigated you.

      -Psychopath: Nobody cares about you. When you are about to die, you take a revolver out of your pocket and kill a person of your choice. (Obligated to kill). If the target is House, he will not die, and all doctors will be revealed to other doctors. This shot will be done in private.

      -Cancer: Cancer can be cured if found early. If a doctor finds you in the first 3 nights, you will stay alive and be immuned to dying in the next round. If it is in the first 5 nights, you will stay alive. If a doctor finds you after the 5th night, you instantly die.

Day phase is like regular mafia. You try to find the mafia, and to kill them by voting. The person with the most votes on his head gets lynched.
House cannot die in day phase. If he is to get lynched, instead he will be revealed to everybody and stay alive ( most likely not for long, though )

In the night phase, doctors investigate their patients, and nurses kill one. You pm your night actions to me , ji412jo. NO POSTING WHATSOEVER ON THE THREAD DURING NIGHT PHASE.

Day/night phase are going to be 48/24 hours each.

When doctors investigate patients, they do not learn about their diseases ( except for the poor dude with a cardiomyopathy), but upon death, we learn both the role of the dead, but also the disease ( if a patient) and the sanity (if a doctor).


I will not allow no-voting, or voting for a no-lynch. For me, a no-vote is like an afk. Being afk for 2 days in a row gets you to DEAD. ( It's like if you are extremely sick, about to die, and refuse to call an ambulance, well then die idiot.)


PMing: Players are free to PM whoever they want. However, quoting another player's PM is not allowed (unless you are sending it to the Host), nor can you ask another player about what the host PM'd them (you can ask them what their identity is, but nothing about the PM sent to them). Also, when you are killed in the game, you may no longer PM or post in the thread.


Sign-ups will end on the 10th, might last longer if we only have a few players.

In, also have a few questions to make sure everything is clarified before we start.

If the Lupus patient dies, is the type of doctor (Naive, Paranoiac, Sane) revealed to everyone along with the name?
If the Cardiomyopathy patient is investigated, whose identity is revealed to the Naive Doctor and the patient? The identity of the patient, or the identity of the doctor?
When does the Psychopath send his kill target? If the Psycopath is not on the forums when he finds out he's going to die, that could delay the game. Or does the Psychopath send a named every night, just in case he dies? And if he is too lazy to send a name, is the kill random?
Do the doctors know whether they are Naive, Paranoiac, or Sane? Is this information revealed when a doctor dies?

Lastly, two suggestions. If you're not doing this already, I would tell people how many copies of each role there are. Otherwise, too much of the game is merely blind guesswork.

Secondly, I would advise against modkilling afk players. I tried doing this with my mafia, and it just made things imbalanced, especially when the person who dies is mafia.
