While I can't say for certain why everyone afk'd on the game, it probably didn't help that you were seemingly afk as well, Elbirn. If you're in charge of an event or game, you have to make sure you will have the time to keep it on track. Delaying rounds because not everyone has voted is likely a large contributing factor. If things come up that interfere with your ability to host, have someone replace you. And always stick to the schedule.

Probably best to just scrap this game. Maybe we should all take a break since it seems no one is active; might be a repeat of this game if we try to start a new one.

I suppose a combination of war, other events, and general forum sluggishness would also be factors.

Yes. People do much better under a timeframe. If they don't meet that timeframe, then too bad for them. You showed a lack of punishment for not voting in the allotted timeframe, and therefore encouraged procrastination.

Some flexibility is alright.
Waiting until everyone gets around to voting whenever they feel like it is another.
