1. Whoever is tradesman likely did not know Majofa's role, and used their ability to as a gamble to win themself a better role.
2. It is unlikely that they are both mafia. If they were, they would know each others roles, and they would know Majofa's ability sucks.
3. Furthermore, If they were both mafia, why would it matter who had what ability, their team would still have the same skillset. It would only be sensical to take a useful ability from a civilian, if they were to use their ability at all.

I find it most likely that neither Majofa nor Former-Tradesman knew each others roles or have been in contact. Therefore, at least one of them is a civilian, with a strong possiblity of both, in my opinion.
Therefore we should find someone aside from Majofa to vote for, UNLESS the former tradesman would like to reveal themself. If said character claims that he didn't use his/her ability on Majofa, then Majofa is conducting trickery and should be given a wooden overcoat.
