How long should each day and night be?

I liked how long they were set at (48hrs each). i think it gave people enough time to vote or activate night abilites for whatever timezone.

Thoughts on the overall Death Note theme? Should my next mafia also have a theme?

I enjoyed the theme. I have never read or watched death note, so I know nothing about it, but was able to understand the bare minimals as your story progressed with each characters over the days and nights.

I also really liked the amount of detail in the night and day posts that were made, it really made the story become more alive in some ways to me. even though it must have been a lot of work.

I think themes are always fun to have, as long as you have detail and a good story to accompany it. As long as you have fun creating it is the main thing, as I'm sure many will play the mafia games whether they are themed or not.

I'm generally not a fan of Rising Star-type roles, because situations exactly like what happened here can make the endgame less exciting, but that could just be preference. It could handle a minor nerf - a mafia I scrapped was intended to have similar role at 0.4 per round, rather than 0.5. Worth looking at anyways.

My favorite role here would have to be Bomber - 10/10 would steal for later use.

Alright, I'd like to ask a few questions, for feedback on how the event went. I may be hosting a mafia sometime next year. I'm probably already going to ditch the modkill rule, since a lot of people end up dying when it actually gets enforced.

That would seem like more trouble than it's worth, for fixing something that isn't a significant problem.

It's actually hardly any trouble at all and is a solution to a huge problem. Some players are viewed as high priority targets, which usually ruins the game for them. At the very least, it should be looked into. You could even swap back to doing it normally after two or three rounds.

Like how Terroking and I are targetted first by mafia or detective. I'm sure there are others that mafia/detective like to target early. And Justaburd will be able to play as mafia without having to say "I'm mafia."
