Because then the sadistic would have presented the rest of us with an option. Lynch either you or him, because one is lying. I for one would not take a 50/50 chance of being lynched.

I've reconsidered the evidence, thanks to Mort's insight, and arrived at a conclusion: we lynch 0911.

Let's say that he really is the sadistic. He's already won the game. Why even bother voting? Nothing he does has any effect on the result whatsoever. Even staying in the game at all would be a waste of time for him. Why he would continue to be a part of it is beyond me.

Which is why maybe he isn't the sadistic. Maybe he's a FG. An opportunity arose for him to essentially drop below the radar. He claims to be the sadistic, the real sadistic has no motive to contest it since the game is over for him, and then 0911 is "confirmed" as the sadistic. From there, or so he may have thought, we would have no reason to lynch him. After all, he has no ways of killing us like the mafia do. Nor can he use any ability to the mafia's advantage. Killing the sadistic would seem to be nothing more than a waste of a lynch...right?

You know what I think? I bet there's a decent chance that 0911 is a FG just claiming to be the sadistic in order to fall below the radar and stay alive while he secretly kills us in the night. As a "confirmed sadistic" he would literally be the last person we would consider as a FG. The idea that the actual sadistic would have much of a motive to make the claim of being the sadistic and continue to vote when the game is already won for him seems...suspicious.

But even if he actually is the sadistic, is this a guy we want on our team? He's a wildcard. He could side with the FGs; he could side with the civs. His allegiance is dependent on whatever fickle whim is flowing through his mind. And you know what I think about wildcards? I hate them.

We're looking at an unreliable teammate here - at best. At worst, he is our enemy.

Not only that, but remember that we have no information on Annele at all. Maybe we're lynching a FG, but it's statistically more likely that we're lynching a civ. It could even be a power role civ. I don't want to take this chance when there is a safer, more logical option available.


tl;dr 0911 could be a FG pretending to be the sadistic to slip under the radar. Even if he's the sadistic, we don't want such an unreliable teammate.

I like this reasoning more than just Annele being suspicious and wanting Fippe lynched for listening to Hope/Jezebel.
Well, if the real Sadistic Elemental would at least say who he is to help us civvies, that'd be great. XD
No reason for him to do that, though.

Honestly, I was just bandwagoning, but this does make a lot more sense.  However, I am lynching him believing he is the sadist.  If he is a mafia claiming it, and I was the real sadist, I really don't know what I would do, if I felt like it, I could call him out, or not, but I don't like your reasoning saying that a "real" sadist will just sit back.  There is just as good of a chance that they would go ahead and counterclaim. 

With that said, I do agree with lynching a sadist.

For some reason, I just don't feel right lynching 0911 yet. I'd much rather see where finally lynching Annele gets us - I'm not a fan of loose ends.

To be honest, all anyone has to do is counterclaim Sadist and the issue changes drastically.
