There really should'nt be policies such as 'kill the noavis' or 'not killing host n1'. Anyone is entitled to being killed the first night.
Thus, Demagog's death is either random or strategic.

I'm not suggesting rules; I'm just saying the mafia has made it apparent that they care more about a slightly higher chance of winning than keeping a returning veteran in the game.

Or me. Or Root. Or another 5 or so players who are very experienced with Mafia. We probably won't know until the end of the game why they chose Dema, but they did, and for now that's what we have to work with.
