Spoiler for Lore:
...Eons passed. And Akzuban was unrecognizable at this point.
As Rainbow had successfully conquered the world with the help of its Tyrants, the world fell into disrepair. The elemental nations had self-destructed from the sudden civil wars, betrayals, and deceptions of Rainbow's servants, who successfully infiltrated each city and town they came in contact with. The Oracle had faded away, overcome by Rainbow's egotistical and relentless power-craze over the world. Many of the False Gods did their best to save what they could of the world they witnessed and created, but all in all, much of it became a barren landscape.
A world of grey was all that was left. It was as if Rainbow wanted only itself to be noticed and praised within the world.
However, despite this, two new towns were constructed: Salphan and Kohmegap. The two towns had cooperated well and brought in all of the remaining elemental beings into a noteworthy truce. The cities were expanding and shifting to meet the necessities of many of the elementals, and somehow, they both flourished. Despite the daily disagreements and conflicts between many of the citizens, the False Gods had elected several civilians to keep the peace between all of them as sages, warriors, and merchants. Their wisdom grew, their power honed, and their resources gave them ultimate freedom to explore the external wasteland that Rainbow had seized and ignorantly destroyed. They eventually became the new Acolytes.
But Rainbow was not finished yet.
Still laughing at the Oracle's pitiful attempt to oust it, Rainbow summoned an endless army of the grey to surround the two towns and finally remove what was left of any civilization. To counter this, the False Gods all gathered around to protect the two remaining pieces of land sacred to the elementals, and continued to guard the cities' boundaries. However, Rainbow's Tyrants were killed off without remorse (and the Slayer had hidden himself away under a new name), and like the past, Rainbow cursed certain relics that would afflict its presence onto the new Acolytes within the two cities to cause internal strife before this all began. Civil unrest began to rise, and the False Gods knew they could only attend to one problem.
To keep at least one of the cities functional, the acolytes were separated from the civilians under the watchful guise of the Half-Bloods, and told to stay within Salphan while the civilians fled to the Kohmegap. The False Gods then ordered and blessed the acolytes to, once again, purge the evil from their group while they fought off Rainbow's army. In particular, if the Acolytes succeeded in finding the relics, they could summon Rainbow and finally trap it in its own prison by the False Gods.
...and you are one of the few acolytes now residing in Salphan.
Welcome to Elements Mafia XXIX - Fanatics & Heretics Style
RULES:1.
The most important rule: You must -ALWAYS- have the word "Mafia" IN YOUR PERSONAL MESSAGE TITLE for me to read it. I will ignore (or possibly delete!) any message that does not follow this. 2. No posting during the 'Night Phase' whatsoever;
do not post OR PM ANY revealing information while you're dead. Everyone gets '
~1' warning per night phase if they mess this up, but beyond that, the person in question may be removed.
3.
All Secondary roles/targeting/actions are to be messaged during the day phase.4. No player may do the 'No-Vote' for two consecutive days. Please avoid being inactive for more than two days, or you may be removed/replaced.
![Sad :(](https://elementscommunity.org/forum/Smileys/solosmileys/sad.gif)
5.
Do not quote PMs. Ever. Players cannot declare themselves to be a Tyrant in or out of the game, regardless of the statement's validity, as such attempts will subvert the integrity of the game. You will be removed automatically (regardless of your role) if you ever declare yourself to be a Tyrant, and your actual role will not be revealed.6. Post in the topic if you want to sign up. No need for any 'False God' choosing or whatnot, everything is randomized/assigned.
ROLES:MAIN ROLES:Acolytes (split 50-50 between Fanatics and Heretics (aesthetic reason)) ~20 people usually
Tyrants (approx. 20-25% of the # of players) ~5 people usually
Slayer (0-2 people -> used for sorting out odd # situations) ~? people
Acolytes: Your typical 'civilian' in various Mafia games, they must kill the 'Mafia' (or Tyrants) off in order to win. The twist is, acolytes are split 50-50 between Fanatics and Heretics; while both 'sides' will lose if their numbers equal the number of mafia members remaining,
the side with 'more' players remaining gets the 'win' from the Oracle. However, if both sides contain an equal amount of players, both sides win and are super cereal awesomeness.
Tyrants: The typical 'mafia'; if they're all killed, acolytes win. Otherwise, if the mafia are an equal or majority of the remaining acolytes, they win. Tyrants will be notified and urged to communicate with each other to win mafia, or may struggle to survive against a (relatively) organized mob of lynchers.
Slayers: Standalone individuals that just need to survive; whoever wins, they automatically join their group as part of the 'win' (meaning that as long as they don't die, they win with the biggest majority, themselves included).
SECONDARY ROLES:Note that these powers are based on 'False Gods'. If there are more than 20 players, there is a chance for certain players to receive the same False God power.
REMEMBER: All Secondary powers occur during the day time (i.e. - send them during the day!) unless otherwise specified.
Key:
(ER) - Every Round. Can be used every turn.
(EoR) - Every other Round. Can be used every other turn (i.e. - you must wait a day to use it again)
(SU) - Successful Use. Can only be used AGAIN if it works the day you used it.
Otherwise, it's a one turn use.(OU) - One use. Unlike 'SR', this skill can only be used once.
(Passive) - You do not require to PM this passive for it to trigger automatically.
Akebono - SUStampede - Target a player; if the target gains the majority vote, they cannot revive by any other effect should they die. This effect fails if the majority vote doesn't kill the target player, or if the target doesn't gain the majority vote.
Chaos Lord - EoRRussian Roulette - Randomly target two players (neither target can be you). One of the players learn about the other player's main and secondary role.
Dark Matter - SUVortex Shift - Target any player; all 'NON-VOTES' during the lynch phase are redirected towards this person. Can only be reused again if the target player dies.
Decay - ERLeecher - Target a player; their vote is completely negated, while your vote counts as three individual votes.
Destiny - PassiveGolden Hatchling - You are immune to all False God targeting effects on any day that is a prime number. (2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, etc.)
Divine Glory - OUFinal Slice - Kill a target player; ignore any revival effects. You are unveiled as this False God when this happens.
Dream Catcher - EoRMoth Powder - Target a player; if that person has less than three votes on them, randomize their (or grant them a new) secondary ability immediately. This can reset 'OU' and 'SU' abilities as well if they receive the same False God again.
Elidinis - PassiveGrowing Pains - Your vote increases by 1 every day you don't get targeted/voted on by more than 2 people. Once you are voted or targeted by 3 or more people, your vote counter is set back to 1.
Eternal Phoenix - OUKindled Vengeance - Target yourself; you are automatically revived if you are lynched, and your voting power is increased to 10 (your vote counts as 10 votes) for the next day only. Your voting power cannot be decreased or negated during that day.
Ferox - ERRevitalizing Essence - Target a player (not yourself); reduce their total votes by half. (A person with 15 votes for example would instead have 7.5)
Fire Queen - SUBlessed Bees - Target player gains 1 vote against them during every lynch (secretly), and this ability can be reused. If any player affected by Blessed Bees dies by any other means than lynching however, you are revealed as Fire Queen and your ability is removed.
Gemini - ERMind Shocker - Target player cannot use their False God ability or passive. Permanently removes a False God ability if used on a player successfully twice in a row, until you die.
Graviton - EoRBalancing Act - Redirect all votes and targeting effects from one 'saved' player to a 'victim' player (you may target yourself).
Hecate - ERString Master - Continuously target a player; their vote is always changed to whoever you vote for until you target another player with String Master.
Hermes - SUHeat Strokes - Name 3 players; they receive 3 additional votes to their lynching totals. If ALL of them SURVIVE during lynching, this skill cannot be reused.
Incarnate - PassiveSiphoning Fangs - Whoever you vote on, you reduce your current vote total equal to theirs. (i.e. - if 7 people voted on you, and you use this on someone with 4 votes, you reduce your vote total to 3 [7 - 4 = 3])
Jezebel - OUSolemn Outcry - Target two players (yourself included). If they have the same main role (Tyrant & Tyrant, Fanatic & Fanatic, etc.), their main roles and names are revealed to everyone publicly that day. If they have different main roles, the names are posted publicly, but the roles are randomly revealed to you (you do not know which main role belongs to who).
Lionheart - OUBestowed Enhancements - Target a player; if the target doesn't die that day/night, you permanently gain access to their secondary ability for the rest of the game. Your False God however will not change.
Miracle - EoRAngel Wings - Target a player; they are auto-revived if they are either lynched or Tyrant-killed for that day. Does not protect against self-inflicted or False-God based deaths.
Morte - PassiveBeyond the Grave - Can still vote (and be targeted) even when dead. Simply PM the organizer for who you want to vote for; you can only send one PM while dead. Cannot be revived when killed via lynching or Tyrant-murder though.
Neptune - EoRQuiet Tides - Remove one vote from each person that was voted on, and place it into the 'NO VOTE' section for that day.
Obliterator - SURole Pummeler - Target a player and name a False God; you may reuse this ability again if the False God does not match with the player. If the False God and player match, that player will either become a Slayer (if they were a Fanatic/Heretic), or die (if they were a Tyrant/Slayer), and you lose this ability permanently.
Octane - OUThe Red Button - Target a player; both you and the target are killed during the same day. You are (obviously) unveiled as this False God when this happens.
Osiris - EoRLost Prediction - Reveal a target player's False God to you.
Paradox - EREyes of the Skies - Target 3 players (you may target yourself); one main role is randomly revealed publicly without the name of the target attached. You (in private) learn their False God as well (no name attached still).
Rainbow - PassiveGray Scale - Given to a Tyrant/mafia player
if it is assigned. If this person is lynched without any of their members voting for them, they are unveiled as an acolyte (either Fanatic or Heretic) or a Slayer, and with a different False God besides Rainbow.
Scorpio - EoRProcrastinator's Toxin - Target a player; if they are the last person to vote on a player, do not actively vote, or change their vote for that day, they gain votes equal to the player they voted on plus one.
Seism - PassiveExcavation - You survive your first lynching or kill by the mafia, but your main role and False God is revealed.
Serket - OUNightshade - You cannot be lynched or killed for the current day and night. In addition, if you were about to be lynched, you may learn the main role of one player who voted on you.
