Welcome to Elements Mafia 26: Las Vegas!
In this mafia, everyone has a primary role, a secondary role, and an element.
The primary role is the simplest: 5 mafia, 20 tourists. (Apologies to anyone who actually lives in Vegas.)
Now about the elements... what do people do in Vegas? They get married! So 2 people are assigned to each element, but these elements are kept secret. However, you'll probably want to find out people's elements if possible - if your elemental partner dies, you have until the next nightphase before you're dead as well, since you're just so torn with despair. Since 2x12 is 24, there is a single unaligned player, who is a member of the mafia - the boss, if you will.
As to the secondary roles, there are 2 doctors (exactly as in normal mafia, they PM me with a player to protect each nightphase, who cannot be killed that round by the mafia) and 1 cop (exactly as in normal mafia, he/she PMs me with a player to "investigate" each nightphase; he/she then learns their primary role, secondary role, and element), all of whom are town-aligned. Then there are two roles which aren't that standard.
One of them is quite characteristic of Las Vegas - the gambler. This role was used a couple of mafias ago, so I decided to use and expand it. There are 6 gamblers in the game - one mafia-aligned, five town-aligned - who, during each nightphase, PM me two players' names, neither of which can be their own. The second player is then told the primary role and element (but not secondary role) of the first. Thanks to the gamblers, there should be plenty of information going around a couple of rounds in, so even if you're just a vanilla tourist, you might well know some important information.
The other role is one I made up myself - the lawyer. There are 2 tourist-aligned lawyers in the game, each of whom has a powerful one-time skill - during a dayphase, they may choose to "defend" (by PM) any player they wish - for example, if they have reliable intelligence that the person leading the vote to be lynched is only a tourist. If that person wins the vote to be lynched, they are instead pardoned. Since lawyers don't really care whether their clients are innocent or guilty, they will not be told anything about the person they saved. (Again, apologies to any lawyers.)
This means that 10 tourists and 4 mafia will be vanilla, with no secondary role.
The tourists win if the mafia are all dead. The mafia win if they equal the tourists in number.
So, to summarize:
20 tourists
5 mafia
6 gamblers (5 tourists, 1 mafia)
2 doctors (tourists)
1 cop (tourist)
2 lawyers (tourists)
2 members of each element
1 unaligned mafia boss
