Alas, the struggle would end here, due to a daring move by $$$man. The town was in shambles, every person trying to kill someone else, no one sure of their convictions but everyone sure that they had to act soon. The town was in a dead split between two candidates for death: $$$man and jamiejoneslovesu. It was an even tie, neither side gaining ground. But $$$man was a charismatic individual, and eventually got his way, convincing the town that jamiejoneslovesu had to die. She heard of this plot and reacted violently, becoming vigilant and paranoid. She attacked anyone who dared near her, pummeling them, but eventually it had to end. The chosen sniper took their weapon, aimed at the head, and fired. By some feat, he missed, and jamiejoneslovesu flew into a rage. She ducked behind anything she could find, trying to hide herself from the attacker's bullets. But it was of no avail. Eventually his shot struck true, hitting her squarely in the heart. As she lay dying, her spirit loosing itself from her body, the entire town came to gather around her corpse. It was mangled, twisting and contorting itself through some dark magic into a shape no one could recognize. It was an invader. The final invader. The struggle was over. jamiejoneslovesu and her allies had all fallen, one by one. The town could be at peace again. Though in reality, nothing really changed. The metropolis was as it was before the invasion, only with some casualties. Those casualties who were innocent were deeply mourned, but the prevailing atmosphere was that of blissful celebration. This is how it was in the small section of the metropolis that had been affected. The rest of it, and the rest of the planet, and the rest of the universe, had no idea this had happened, no reason to care, and was unaffected in all respects. In fact, the invaders had been outcasts of their own society, rejected, made to find another locale to live in. Now, dead, rejected by this world, no one would care about them again. They would be forgotten in the sands of time, and the lives of their species and ours would be left wholly untouched.
