Almost everyone in the town was paranoid beyond belief. They each had their own suspicion and were ready to kill. Eventually though, a consensus began to settle among the town's leaders. They had chosen the next target. Xoned was to be sniped off from afar, to avoid him attacking anyone else like what had happened the day before. The sniper had a special gun - silent, but exceedingly deadly. Its bullet was an incendiary round, with enough fuel to burn through the targets innards while tearing a hole through them. Xoned was sitting in a small room, working, wracking his brain with thoughts of who the invaders could possibly be. Then the shot struck true through his head, destroying his brain and cutting such thoughts short. He died instantly. He was found later with a medical kit next to him - he was ready to patch up any wounds he found. Unfortunately, he was not prepared for a scorched brain. There was, very clearly, nothing he could do.
Xoned was the doctor and a gambler.
That night, irulegravity was praying. He was praying for the killings to stop, for everything to just go back to the way it was. Then he heard a sound. He walked outside, but couldn't locate it. He followed it, but it never got any louder or softer - it was like tinnitus, whatever he did he couldn't get it to stop. He just kept following it, and eventually he wandered into the woods. Then it started to get louder. And louder. And soon, it was a full-on scream that he couldn't erase from his ears. He ran, and ran, and ran. He shut his ears, plugging them with all he could. But nothing could end the sound. Completely debilitated, he accidentally ran into a tree, fell, and was too feeble to rise up again. He began hallucinating. The trees danced, the clouds walked, and a mysterious figure loomed over him. Unfortunately, this latter image was real, and it eviscerated irulegravity, severing his body cleanly in two and crushing both halves into the ground. The body was never found - not that there was any trace of it to locate.
