How To Play

I am betting everyone here knows how to play, or at least has heard of the game Hangman. Well, the rules transfer very simply to the forums.

• There are two types of people. The guessers and the hangers. In a game of hangman, there is only one hanger. Everyone else is a guesser. More than one hanger is negotiable and if it can be pulled off, it should be pulled off.
• The hangers have to come up with a word or phrase. They themselves know what it is and will not give this word or phrase to the guessers (evidently). The word or phrase should have a theme. The theme of the word or phrase itself will be given to the guessers.
  
• The hangers will count the amount of letters in the word or phrase and leave them as underscores. Separating the underscores if it is a phrase. For example:Let's say the phrase is "I got a monster in my closet." The hangers will leave this as _  ___  _  _______  __  __  ______, with a bigger size of course.
• The guessers, basically, try to guess letters/words in the word or phrase. Either a letter or a word can be guessed.
• If a letter or word is guessed in the word or phrase, the hangers put the letter wherever it is in the phrase, however times it appears. For example: If a guesser guessed "o" and the word is "cookie", the hanger puts the letter "o" in the second and third space where the letter would go.
• If the letter or word guessed is not in the phrase/word, then a part of the body is drawn on. It starts from the head usually and then goes to both arms, a torso, then both legs to resemble a stickman but however so the hanger wishes to do it is up to him/her. The amount of guesses must be specified or given at the beginning though if it isn't six (head, both arms, torso, both legs).You can use whatever you want to represent the amount of guesses left. You can use a series of images for the hangman game (PG-13 of course), or you can just use the fire to life (Use six life signs. Every time a wrong guess occurs, replace a life sign with a fire sign.)
• The game goes on, guessing and stuff, until either the phrase/word is guessed (Guessers win!), or the guy is hung...(Hanger(s) win!)

Other Rules

• The number of hints given is completely determined by the hanger. Usually, I give three hints. Two minor and one giveaway.
• No cheating. If you really can't get something, just take a good guess, and leave it at that. Don't go searching up the answer and then saying the entire thing. The fun of hangman is in guessing the answer and searching up the answer wouldn't be that fun now would it?
