Therin walking through the forest, finally arrives at his destination, a small campground. "What can you tell me about this place." he asks a bystander(Lady krissaga).

Lady Krisagga pulls back the hood of her tattered robe, revealing her serpentine face as she gazes upon the newcomer strangely.
"I've only just arrived myself. Strange that this camp here is completely set up, yet no one attends it. I certainly hope it's owners haven't taken natures bounty and then left it." She then begins to search the camp for any clue as to its previous owners.

You see that the site has been set up for six people yet none of the bedrolls have been used and there is no ash in the fire pit.

"I don't trust this place. Following that damned map was stupid," Lady Kissaga looks over her shoulder and gives a sharp whistle, "Whisperfoot, come!" Beckoned by her mistress's call, a large yellow creature, looking to be part dragon, part tiger, comes out of the forest, bounding to Lady Krissaga's side as she bends at the knees to pet her. "Good girl. Sniff around for mummy, see if you can find anything. Oh, and bring back a rabbit or something if you can find it, we'll split it." She places a kiss on Whisperfoot's beak and then scratches her frilled neck before standing.

Looking around, Geoff Peterson was disappointed.  He wanted adventure, fame, fortune, something!  It was just a campsite, and he'd seen those before.  It looked like two other people where here, talking, and one of them had sent a strange beast bounding off into the woods.

Geoff didn't like the spot, it was too cold.  He stepped into the sunlight and waved to the strange couple.  "'Lo friends!" he called.

In retrospect, he should have put his sword down first.

Either way, it seemed this was where he was supposed to be.  He wandered over to see if they knew what was going on.

"Friends perhaps not, though in time who knows. I am Lady Krissaga Glorygem. I'm not sure what this man's name is, I hadn't bothered to ask." Lady Krissaga smiles, taking the edges of her robe and curtsying.

"I'm Geoff Peterson.  That's a nice pet you've got," Geoff says to the Lady, implying her "Whisperfoot".  Geoff hadn't been in the presence of a "lady" before, and he supposed this was what small talk was supposed to be like.

"She's not a pet," Lady Krissage replies curtly, "She's a friend. You'd do well to remember that Man does not own nature. She's a phynxkin. They're not native to these parts. I really don't now how she got this far."

Another man approches holding the same map in his hand. "Well now, i thought this was a treasure map.  I guess i was wrong.  So whats this all about?" The man said clearly confused "Why did you slip the map into my bag, and more importantly, how did you do it without me seeing you?"
