Well for the time being I have made a post on their forums stating that I am our representative. If that ends up changing, I will defer to whoever is preferred. Sounds like ddevans has stepped down and deferred to me, so barring another vote, I imagine things will remain as they are.

If necessary, there's an easy way to get around the deadline. We just send Demagog as our rep and me as the alternate, then have Demagog withdraw in the case that I win.

I deferred to Demagog under the impression another vote would not happen and the first poll was final.

That was my only concern, as well. If people don't want me because I'm inactive, then I don't have to participate. Only way to know is with another vote, but the deadline is two days from now, I believe, and some that voted may not be aware another vote is taking place if we have one. I'm not saying we shouldn't, but it is important to know the pros and cons.

Using Link's idea of having me drop out after the deadline doesn't really work because there would be no alternate for Link. If I'm wrong about that and Thingyman allows for naming an alternate past the deadline, then you may want to have another vote since everyone only got three votes.

So, the options are: send me, as I took second on this vote, or have a quick revote, perhaps just between Link and myself. Again, there are cons to the latter. I'm fine with either. Sure, I'd like to participate and I'm certainly capable of winning, but I only want to be the representative if I have the majority of the community's backing.

That's a good point, I should have clarified that. You would only drop out closer to the start of the game in this situation to ensure that I would be able to participate, effectively keeping you as the alternate.

That was my unvoiced concern as well. Even if Demagog is better at mafia, I'd rather send someone I feel more familiar with. In this case I'd choose Linkcat. But obviously it has to be what the community wants and maybe some more experienced players know Demagog better than I do.

Demagog, no disrespect to you, but I don't know you. And that's the basis of my opinion

I would also like to send someone who is actually known by someone else than veterans. I am here for more than two years and have never seen that name before, neither in the forum nor in chat. If the poll was still up, I would vote on dd96/Linkcat.
