To answer your questions, it is actually really hi-def ASCII art, and suffice it to say that I know the two women pictured quite well.
The picture was taken at prom, and then I used a web utility that allows you to temporarily upload a photo, and then it can turn it into an ASCII image for you.   The image is actually several hundred thousand letters. I put it into a word-processor, set the font really low, and took a screenshot [for until then, it was text, not an image].


FLUTTERSHY is the best.   And Rainbow totally has a crush on her.

Just to clarify, my avatar is of Naesala, a Laguz from the video game series Fire Emblem. Basically he's a human with birdlike traits that can at will become a humongous raven. One of my favorite characters of all time.

Pity, it's my personal favorite game series and one of the best tactical rpg's ever. I cannot speak exactly on the point of the ears as I didnt design the race and there is only so much lore, but Naesala makes frequent comments about having exceptional hearing, which is somewhat an elvish trait. plus it looks good

Fair enough, Gotta say though, biggest problem is that he isnt a pony...
