@all players: The races in the world of Elements will be the same as those in this thread:
http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,8953.0.html
OOC: Thankfully it seems most of your players have managed to find a way to read it. I just think it's even worse then most of the things you've pointed out as hard to read.
If it's that difficult, quote it to read. And we rarely have to narrate in the perspective of Annihilus anyways.
OOC: Antimatter will be replace by dissapation.
Huh? Did you update your profile yet? I still see Antimatter.
This is an entirely different world altogether.
The Angels of Elements RPG are beings of a higher class, but the High Angels are essentially at a god-level, relatively speaking, which explains why they never act in person unless the Dark One, once the greatest of the thirteen High Angels is involved.
Aww... I was hoping that I would see more of your Archangels, including Solraegiel, Catyrael, Arcterael...
@Gl1tch: What happens if your Collective was struck with an uber-lobotomy attack, and your entire psychic network is destroyed? That would essentially kill your character, right? Of course, that won't happen unless you want it to.
Reserved.
The full Moon shone brightly in the sky of Galactea, bathing the entire world in its soft, gentle, silvery-blue light. Illuminated by moonlight, the Astral Sea glowed with shades of midnight blue, light turquoise, soft lavender, and deep indigo, glittering with specks of starry white. It was a truly mesmerizing sight, and no matter how many times he had seen it, Sol was always amazed by the beauty the sea of stars alone could offer. A wisp of ethereal current brushed gently against his shining golden hair, sending sparks melting away into the stars.
You're never tired of seeing this place, are you? Came the soft, serene whisper of Luna in his mind.
Sol turned to face Luna, looking into her luminous blue eyes.
What do you think? He smiled.
I'm never tired of seeing you, even after more than ten millennia. You make yourself sound old, Luna laughed, the sound of silver bells jingling in the night sky.
Our mortal bodies were only eighteen or so, right? Our souls are old, Sol said,
almost as old as the Creator Himself, I'd say.Not really, Luna retorted.
None of us even knows if the Creator was still sentient. Some say that He ceased to exist after giving birth to the worlds. Gazing into the infinite depths of the Astral Sea, Luna sighed gently.
I'd like to meet Him, if I can. You'd like to see God? Sol raised a golden brow. Then he grinned, and wrapped his arms around the lithe form of Luna.
Well, maybe you don't get to see God, but you see me every day. Isn't that close enough? Sol laughed. He stroked Luna's midnight black hair, and pulled her close for a kiss.
Suddenly, the world shook. Sol instinctively flew away backwards, pulling Luna with him. In the place where they had been an instant before, there was now a gash in space, a vicious wound in the fabric of reality that was twice as tall and wide as a fully grown human. The rift spat fire at the two Deities, while the ether, or "star stuff", around them began to rapidly drain into the rift like water going down a sink hole. With pure reflex, Sol cast a sealing spell of Light, blocking the rift and preventing any more ether to leak into whatever dimension on the other side of the rift.
Now that's something you don't see every day, Sol narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing the gash in the fabric of space. The rift seemed to lead into another world, one that was covered in fire and burning magma.
Saturn! Sol called out.
Instantly, a patch of turquoise starlight began to coalesce on Sol's left side. The turquoise energy condensed into the shape of a robed and hooded man, with a glowing mask of starsteel covering his face.
...I see the problem, said Saturn, the Gatekeeper.
Good, then I won't have to waste time explaining it to you, Sol said.
What is the meaning of this? He pointed toward the fiery rift beside him.
You are the Gatekeeper of Galactea, so isn't it your duty to ensure that interdimensional portals like this don't randomly pop up in our world? That isn't any random interdimensional portal, said Saturn.
That is a Multiversal fracture, one that must have afflicted many other worlds as well as our own.A Multiversal fracture? Luna said, a worried look on her face.
How can a fracture appear in the Multiverse? Surely an enormous amount of energy is-Luna, I think you know perfectly well what can cause a fracture in the Multiverse, said Sol grimly.
We have seen it before. An instant ago, somewhere in the Multiverse, a world had just been destroyed.Luna's blue eyes widened in shock.
What? The destruction of a world? But the only being with enough power to accomplish such a feat is-Annihilus, the Devourer of Worlds, Saturn finished for her.
The Devourer must have escaped from his prison. The destruction of his prison world should be the cause of this Multiversal fracture.Sol and Luna looked at each other, the worry in their eyes gradually deepening to dread.
All members of the Galaxian Pantheon, gather at my location immediately, Sol called out to his fellow Star Gods.
Within a few seconds they appeared, bright spheres of colored light at first, then condensing into humanoid shapes. The Elemental Deities appeared first: Mercury, a scholarly and sophisticated man clad in water, ice, and liquid silver; Venus, an attractive young woman with blond hair and a light yellow dress made of wind and mist; Terra, a motherly woman with robes of soil and plantlife; Mars, a fierce warrior wearing armors of burning flames; and Jupiter, a muscular man with a bald head, a jovial face, and electricity crackling around his body. Then the three Guardian Deities appeared: Uranus, the snow-haired saint with three pairs of pure white wings; Neptune, with his aquamarine fish-like tail and shroud of seawater; and Pluto, the death god that radiated an aura of darkness and gloom. Jupiter was about to ask what's going on, but he fell silent as he saw the fiery rift in the sky.
That is a Multiversal fracture, apparently caused by the destruction of the prison of Annihilus, the Devourer of Worlds, Sol explained.
The Devourer has escaped from its prison, and it would be wise to assume that the creature will proceed to devour any and all worlds it comes in contact with.An ominous silence hung upon the Star Gods. Finally, Uranus seemed to have found his voice back.
If the Devourer comes after our world... will we be able to stop it?With all our powers combined, the best we could do is to prevent the Devourer from entering Galactea, said Sol. He squeezed Luna's hand, feeling her gentle, soft, feminine essence.
We will not be able to seal the Devourer away again, nor will we be able to save Pangaea from being consumed. What do we do, then? Venus asked, her voice almost panicking.
We can't just allow half of our world to be devoured by that creature! The mortals...We will need the help of other worlds, said Sol.
We cannot stop the Devourer alone, and the powers of Deities and Greater Beings of other worlds are needed. Sol looked at Luna in the eyes, then turned around to look at his Galaxian Pantheon.
I will travel to other worlds, contact their most powerful denizens, and ask for their help. But Sol! Mars exclaimed.
If you visit another world, your power will be reduced to that of a mortal! What if you...I think it will be all right, Sol smiled.
For the past eighteen years I've lived as a mortal, so I have to say that I am more used to the situation than any of you, maybe except Luna. As I've demonstrated before, if my mortal body is killed, my soul will simply teleport itself back to Galactea. Physical death means nothing to a Deity, even if his powers are reduced to that of a mortal. Also, as the leader of the Galaxian Pantheon, I should visit those other worlds personally, so that they will know the severity of the situation. When are you leaving? Jupiter asked.
And what should we do once you are gone?Sol thought for a few seconds, then decided.
I shall leave right now. When I'm gone, carry on with your lives as usual and do not let the mortals know about my absence, or about the Devourer. If the Devourer invades our world, then evacuate all living beings on Galactea to Pangaea, and defend Pangaea at all costs. You are authorized to tap into the powers of your inner demons if necessary. He then turned around, facing the fiery rift in the sky.
I will first enter the world on the other side of that fracture; Saturn, close the fracture afterwards immediately.Be careful, whispered Luna, before giving Sol a deep kiss on the lips.
Remember, if anything happens to you, I'll know. Our minds will be linked even if we're on two different sides of the Multiverse.Don't worry, Luna, I'll be fine, Sol smiled. Turning to the rift in space, Sol dashed forward, plunging into an alien world of the unknown.
