Chess Time!!!




For all of you who missed your opportunity with Elements Chess or just want to take a break, chess is the game for you!


Chess time is an event where players are matched up against each other in a tournament. Players must find a time that fits them and their opponent. You may use any method of contacting each other (chat, pm's, blackmail etc.)

Note: AMOUNT OF PARTICIPANTS HAS BEEN CHANGED TO 16.

Rules

Standard rules of chess. Full rules can be found here. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rules_of_chess)

Games will be played on http://multiplayerchess.com/

Brackets

Brackets will be single elimination, so if you lose once, you're out.

Requirements

A valid forum account.

Participants

There is a maximum of 16 participants in this event.


Sign up thread will be opened when the event is ready.

Note: A good understanding of chess is recommended before participating in this event.

No offense but that site looks kinda terrible.  Also I don't see how you're going to have a chess tournament without time controls (i wasn't able to start a game at that site but i didn't see any options for a chess clock).

Mainly because people don't have to sign up, and you can organize a private game(which I don't know if you can on that site). Was that a sign up by the way or no?

Yeah, if the average person in the event is playing fewer than 2 games, I don't think we should have a site that needs you to register.
