*Sigh
Let's just say that killsdazombies saved the day by pointing out what is most important in the most striking imaginable way, which then lead to your enlightenment to make that change, shall we?
I think this way everybody will be happy about his due contribution and the award ceremony can conclude with laughter and cheerfulness. -->
Actually when re-reading the whole thread I had a flashback. It was this post :http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,5339.msg61375#msg61375 where I first registered the idea (I remember reading the bolded part). I think the post by killsdazombies merely woke up the idea in my brain.
The difference between Chemist's post and yours was that he was objective. You kind of threw all the negative things you could possibly find about Karma system and hoped something would stick and Karma system would be removed. You then continued to grasp on every single anti-Karma comment you could find, dismissing all the pro-Karma comments. This thread was never about trying to make Karma system better, it was to get rid of it, which might not be clear to people who don't have all the facts, but I do have the facts.
A good example of this would be the fact that you included a poll, yet you didn't even mention it once because the results were against your anti-Karma agenda. Had the poll said majority of members wanted to get rid of Karma system, I'm sure you would have mentioned it on every single post. It's this total lack of objectivity that makes it very difficult for me to take you seriously.
All this doesn't of course mean anything anymore. The reason I'm telling you this is because if you (or anyone else) wants to get his/her ideas heard of this forum (or in life), you have to be objective and willing to compromise. If you have an clear agenda and simply dismiss facts that are against your agenda, people won't take you seriously.
But anyways.. I'm happy we found a solution for this. I still think there was nothing really wrong with the old system but I think this new one is even better. And if it turns out to be worse, then at least it means less work for me.
