Studies such as the arena stats study, FGEI, and (going back further) AI3 TTW studies have been a part of the community for quite some time. Additionally, the study threads are one of the more common things which new players are directed to when asking questions about which decks to use for a specific purpose. However, the study threads are scattered throughout many different boards (though several of them these days just live in general discussion) and are often several pages deep in their board.
The forum could benefit from a separate subforum specifically to collect all of the various studies and statistics thread into one place. Ideally, the current collected stats threads for the various targets could be stickied at the top of the subforum, with other discussions and more specific studies just floating freely through the rest of the board.
This could probably even replace the "community recommended decks" subforum, but having it run alongside it as a separate subforum would work just fine, with community recommend decks subforum continuing to be made up of whatever decks anyone would like to suggest (whether fun decks or strong decks) and the stats/studies subforum showing the actual results of tests.
If this were implemented, it might also not be a bad idea to appoint a study moderator forum position tasked with moderating the stats/studies subforum and maintaining the main stickied study threads (to hopefully mitigate the issues with the person who randomly decided to make the OP of a specific study going AWOL and the study effectively going idle (or at least the OP ceasing to be updated while the study continues)).
Any thoughts?
edit: Would also be a good place to keep all the various threads of spreadsheets for keeping your own stats, any of the large scale simulations, and any of the various "is this more profitable than this" threads, etc.
