Yea, post incentive was just a random idea. I was hoping other people had better ideas.
To me, the biggest benefit of involving more participants is that it would reduce bias and lead to a result that reflects more fairness.
It's kind of the same idea for politics. If only 10% of the country voted to determine a president, you really wouldn't know how fair the result is.
Similarly, this forum has hundreds of users, but we only have so many people casting the votes. I also noticed that many of them are people creating cards themselves. I feel like we need more "unbiased" votes as well.
As far as newbies, I see what you are saying, but I also have a mixed feeling about that. Just because someone is new to this game/forum doesn't mean they are new to card games. Besides, cards will be criticized and balanced before they make it into voting, so it's not like it'd be wrong for any of them to advance to the next level. But, if quality control was needed, maybe voting can be limited to people who have made at least N posts or something.
