The preview has never worked for me :(

However, based on the location of this topic...I take it you're proposing to fix the preview function?  Eh, if the smilies are that important to me I'll notice them after my post has been made, edit the post, and fix the smiley.

I dont understand but I think the answer is no, i just reported a bug -> feedback right?

Also for me the preview function was working 2-3 days ago. Now its broken, in FF4 and IE8. Well as the title suggest only broken with smilies, the rest is working as intended.

Mmm, this section of the forums is usually reserved for offering suggestions on how to improve the forums itself, not just reporting bugs that might appear.  I think this would fit in the Troubleshooting section more than Forum Suggestions & Feedback.

Also, I'm using Chrome and it doesn't work here either.  I honestly can't say I've ever had it work for me from what I can recall, however.

Too many sections on this forum  ;), i thought the Troubleshooting section was more for the main site with flash problems etc... not for the forum .

This section is fine.

I can't say I've ever noticed smileys in preview being broken, but that doesn't rule it out being a bug related to a browser. I don't honestly know if it's worth fixing.

What exactly happens when they break? Can you take a screenshot?

He is talking about a situation when during preview, icons appear as
Code: [Select]
:aether..instead or :aether . So you see only the code, not the images.

This only happens during preview mode, and only with some of the browsers. I think majority of browsers show it correctly.

This will probably be fixed in later versions of our forum software, which will hopefully be installed very soon, and which will fix tons of other issues as well. We will also get many new plugins. It's going to be awesome.
