'Show Unread Posts' Shows Read Posts

Basically, I click 'show unread posts since your last visit' and click new on one of the threads. It comes up with a post that I haven't read. I read it, and other unread posts in that topic. I then click the button again to go to the new list of unread posts but it is the exact same as before. Confused, I click 'new' on the same thread again thinking I missed a page transition or something and it comes up with the exact same post as I just read labelled new. I tried this with a couple other threads and the same happened.

It annoys me however as it keeps taunting me with the nymph thread and my low count of nymphs

The thread doesn't count as "read" until you don't check the last page of that thread.

I may not have mentioned that there wasn't a next page to it. After I checked, there wasn't, but it still came up.
I also forgot to mention I'm using safari if it means anything

EDIT: something new, after posting here, I clicked the page and went to unread posts and it said that your post was new. It didn't pick up my post at all and still thinks yours is new

That's really odd... it only happens for me when a push the back button instead of the link because it hasn't updated. Maybe there's something about your browser or something that means it wont update?

Actually, there are even two different links for that.

When hitting "Show unread posts since last visit" you should get http://elementscommunity.org/forum/unread/, showing only the unread topics

When hitting "Show new replies to your posts" and from there "Click here to try all unread topics." then I get (with Mozilla or IE) http://elementscommunity.org/forum/unread/?all;start=0 showing all unread and read topics.

Maybe Safari is mixing things up?...

for me it always worked consistently:
'show new replies to your posts' shows every thread that you posted in, with a new comment since you last read the thread.
'show unread posts since your last visit' shows every thread with a new comment since you last read the thread.

basically, 'new replies' is only for the topics you are following, 'unread' is every thread..

that has nothng to do with this bug, though.

It seems to have fixed itself for now, not sure what happened though

Next time it happens, hit refresh in your browser, and see if it dissapears. If it does, then your browser is having issues with updating its cache of the page.

'show new replies to your posts' shows every thread that you posted in, with a new comment since you last read the thread.

^^yes, of course. but if there is no thread with a new post that you posted in, then this: "No unread topics found since your last visit. Click here to try all unread topics." shows up. (but if you hit that, instead of all "unread" topics, there are all topics.)
