"show new replies to your posts"

is it just me or does it get annoying when you click that button and it shows threads you no longer care for? there should be a forum feature where we can "block"  a thread, tho not make it unreadable, just not counted as an update or something to that extent. it gets annoying.

I like to read recent posts to catch up on what has happened since I last was at the forums but it is quite annoying now with all the posts from Forum Games that take up a huge amount of space (especially the ultimate quote pyramid thing; the Evil vs Good thing was annoying due to the quantity and frequency of posts). So, if it is possible, I would like the personalised option of choosing what can be seen in the recent posts.

If that's not directly possible then is there some way to subscribe to certain parts of the forum where the new posts are in a nice collection (and not something like sent in emails for each individual post)?

i love this idea, as i also use the recent posts religiously.
my submission would be to split the recent posts into sections just like the home menu: News, Game, Decks, War Room, Other

this way the 'Other' threads would still be visible, but at the very bottom of the screen. Each section as well could show the top 10-15 posts, and have a link to all recent posts

I was unaware as well. I just use the "Mark all posts as read" button and then wait for the Time element symbol to pop up on the left of areas with new posts.

Yep, it's a moderator's best friend. Click on that, read them all; rinse, lather, repeat until none are left.

Not being a mod anymore, I don't need to worry about checking that religiously, lol. I do the same thing that Kamietsu does, simply because there are only a few sections that I actually check. I don't have time or interest to read every new post, and a lot of them are not helpful to me and I am unable to donate any good information to them, so I just ignore.

You can get all unread posts for a specific section, such as War Room (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?action=unread;c=5), though that's not exactly the same.
