well..... i dont know, i guess we would do the same thing as the UN. this way we can basically be "the word of the people" in a sense. like a mini UN. maybe thats a better name than "republic". i dont entirely know, i just thought of this after a few hours of thinking about politics. i figured everyone would be able to fill in the blanks where i couldnt.

I wouldn't call this "filling in the blanks". It's more like "coming up with an idea from scratch".

You haven't really given us anything to work with here. All we have is the word "republic", and how it would "do the same thing as the UN". What does that even mean? How are you going to implement this.. thing on these forums?

Is it a forum game?
Is it a forum event?
Is it some kind of "learn politics" thing that has nothing to do with Element the game or the forums?

You need to give us something more. Otherwise it's like me starting a topic like this:
"Hey, guys. I have an idea. It's called "A carrot". It's an orange vegetable. You can eat it. What do you guys think?"

I do not understand this American fascination with politics. It seems pretty boring to me anyway.

Suppose I play along huh.

I know there are a couple of Americans, Dutch, German, French, Canadians and Finnish here. For the sake of the argument, we put 1 or more of every nationality in a debate team. Then we come up with a topic with pro teams and contra teams, people present their cases, and then we let the public vote which solution is best?

It would not have to have a whole lot to do with politics, it's more like some referendum.

There is absolutely no reason why people of the same nationality should be in one team. Also it could be restricting. (For 1 American, 50 Europeans can enter just because we have more countries pffffttt.) For fun, we could ''compare'' national politics. (For example we would ''defend'' the more socialist European system against the US or something.)

If this is just about learning politics, then you should simply start topics on the Politics (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/board,44.0.html) section of the forums.

its sort of a game, but at the same time, its to be taken seriously. its either hard to explain or im just confusing the shit out of myself right now. if it were simply talking about politics and not just proposing an idea, then it would belong in the politics thread. it is a way for people to EXPERIENCE politics first hand instead of going by what they hear from other people who are most likely biased. this is a way to learn and to form your own opinions on politics. think about elements mafia for a second. its a forum game, but its a good example of how the jury discusses things in a way. this is the same basic principal. just for politics and not urban disputes.
