PvP Penalties?

I see that there's a penalty in Leagues for not meeting 30 game requirement, and there are penalties for cheating in the events, but shouldn't there be a penalty for disappearing mid-event?

I mean, really. If you open up strong, knock someone out early, or get somewhere in the event then just LEAVE, affecting the progress of other players, I think there should be some kind of penalty, or at least a small bonus for the player(s) who got pushed down in the process. Not a huge bonus, but at least a second match of some sort, or like in Avatar, get the level that you didn't get in the fight, or let them take the place of the drop-out.

There is no real disappearing in League. Either you finish 30 matches or not.
If you don't finish 30 matches, you can't get the prize AND you can't join next season. I think that's enough of a consequences.

I meant more for Tournies and other events.

Okay, but why isn't there a penalty for leaving mid-Tourney? Like not being allowed in the next week's or having the player you previously knocked out take your position or something?

Depending on the situation (ie if quitting causes problem), i believe that it'll cause a 1week ban.

Perhaps read the tournament rules for tournament penalties:

Warning system
If a player quits a mid-tournament for any reason, or disrupts the tournament in any way, he will receive a warning and be banned from the next week's tournaments. If you get 3 warnings, you will be banned from all PvP tournaments for 3 weeks.
