I mean, it's okay in small quantities, but reading a paragraph in bright bolded pink or whatever really bugs me. Again, there are exceptions, if it was meant to symbolise something in terms of a short story or thematic thread, but when it is just to post your opinion in a thread which really has no need for it...
A few months ago (for a vet like me, this could mean up to a year ago), someone decided that they wanted to use yellow text. And if I recall correctly, Comic Sans. While I admit that there is a diffence in flavour and taste, this person was strongly discouraged to continue (and I didn't even have to say a single word).
In my opinion, having some sort of discouragement on having a personal text color for the forums will make it much more pleasant to browse and read, especially if its about to become a 'thing' every person with an opinion and personality will need to do.
