Okay everyone after I was done completing my lesson, taught by 927, I felt like I was stuck at split in the road. One way I could take was to consistently post things on the forums and get my rank up. The other idea is to go astray and only use the chat or just playing elements itself. I think there should be some system of guidance in the forums to help the newer people feel a sense of accomplishment. Let's say, Forum Quests. i know this may not be what anyone would want to do now, but if given the opportunity, i would devise a quest system on the forums where a newbie feels like he's done something to help out himself and the elements community. For example: Quest 1: Go out and post 10 times on the forums and gain positive feedback (i.e what if there was a thumbs up and a thumbs down button?). Everyone knows there are trophy whore out there who want to do 100% of their quests. Why not indulge them with newfound possibilities? These quests could intertwine with the mentor system too. While being mentored, the mentor himself could check off on their apprentices profile the "quests" the apprentice has done. I'm not denying that the mentor system is great right now, but I do believe we could enhance some of its main features. Getting Newbies that much more involved in elements may give hope to a new generation of players.
