Higher Standards in the Official Patch Threads

Looking over the past patch threads, I'd certainly support having much more of the card discussion on the actual card thread - most of the times we see a lot of the pages on the patch threads, about 75% of that is about the actual cards and that results in two discussion where redundant conclusions are made and users get confused trying to switch back and forth between two threads. (the cards should also be linked to their actual threads in the Patch OP.)

Changes in the overall game or interface should be still discussed on the patch thread since there's not many places for it to be discussed. (Unfortunately, since there were no new features most of the discussion has been on Shard of Focus.)

its a pretty common rule that you dont say you are 100% right. thats the job of an unbiased third party.
ADDED: im not saying you are wrong, but not 100% correct, i would probably go with 80%, maybe 85

its a pretty common rule that you dont say you are 100% right. thats the job of an unbiased third party.

As an unbiased third party, patch and plastiqe are 100% right, and unit is 58.65% right.

But really, maybe there could be two threads about each update? One serious thread with actually useful posts and another random commentary thread with all the useless posts. The moderators could just move posts to the right threads when people post in the wrong place.

Well zanz used the 1.30 thread to announce SoF so a lot of the discussion there is on that card.  willng3 was a little slow taking 28:19 to create the Shard of Focus thread so that exacerbated the problem.  : P

It's my opinion that those threads are filled with so many pages because EVERYBODY is interested in the new patch...

The new patch thread is where new features are announced. These features are mainly new cards and card changes, because hey, it's a CCG after all. Eventually all changes (including gameplay ones, see the Arena) are discussed in different appropriate threads, but the patch threads are mainly there for posting your reaction to said changes. If the most important changes are cards, you should be able to discuss cards there. That's how I see it anyway.

Low Content posting: No one-sentence posts with no substance. Posting "I like it" on a card or tournament idea adds nothing.
