Forums not loading on Firefox?

Okay, so I've been away for a couple days thinking that the entire site went down....

But then I found out it's just Firefox. Right now I'm using IE to compensate, but does anyone know of a way that I might be able to get it to work on Firefox again?

I'm not sure wha tyou mean. It works fine for me and I only use firefox. You might wan to ttry and seeing if you can set any of your firefox settings to defaults in case they got changed somehow.

Currently browsing fine from Firefox on an Ubuntu netbook!

This is actually my go-to setup for when the fancy desktop with Chrome is being sensitive about something or uncooperative.

Try a repair install of the latest version of Firefox, try temporarily disabling firewall, verify proxy settings if you got em.

Here seems good spot to post about this.. I have been having issues for the last 2 weeks with the forums not loading on firefox. Yes i have the newest Beta version but it was working fine until recently. I get an SMF error and once in while a Database error. Is this my browser or is there something wrong with the forum itself?
Is WOE and War at same time plus everything else killing the server or something?

ps. ive seen it before to use Google for searches.. why doesnt the forum one work anymore? havent seen an actual Reason.. .so id like to know.

Forum borks, not specific to firefox. Idk about why it never borked last year or about why searches don't work anymore, though.

Ever since the domain switch, the forum servers like to go down every once in a while (at least once a day); it might have something to do with the new hosting provider. Forum search function is down because something's probably wrong with the database.

i see.. well hopefully it doesnt persist too long.. i can handle some minor annoyance but if im in the middle of say posting a card idea or some lengthy thing and it just dies when i go to post it I dont want it to disappear and have to redo it.

This problem was caused by a rogue plugin I had installed and locating the problem was the hardest forum thing I've had to do so far. The plugin has now been removed so the problem is gone.
