FG Proposal Section

There are so many FG Proposals, I think we should have a section for this.

Unless Zanz says he's looking for new FG decks, I see no point in this. It would only make users think that their creations could be implemented, when in reality Zanz will most likely stick with the 24 we currently have.

And if there is a need for new FG decks, I think a competition would be better. That's how we did it the last time.

I think opening the FG board and seeing a million topics with the same prefix "False God Proposal:" already has this effect.

That´s the reason I suggest this. The proposal threads are all in the FG section and "block" other threads which don´t deal with proposals.
And since zanz doesn´t look for new FGs now ( as far as we know ), I don´t want to read masses of them.

Yes, but a "spam" problem shouldn't be fixed by making a new forum section for that spam.

I guess my main problem with this idea is that it implies Zanz is looking for new FG decks. New forum members will waste their time designing FG decks, and when they realize we weren't looking for new FG decks in the first place, they will get disappointed.

I guess the best way would be to have one topic where all these FG ideas would be posted. Then that one topic would clearly explain that it is highly unlikely that the deck will ever become a reality. Still a bit of a waste of time, but at least there would be less spam.

That would mean, that people can´t comment a single deck of the Proposals and say "oh it´s good" or "how can you make THAT deck" or "Poseidon is the same god as Neptune" and the comments which are there now, would be deleted (or your topic will be long and confusing)

With section, I mean a Child Board like False Gods -> Strategy. Hope this was clear.
And you could make a sticky topic where you explain, that it´s highly unlikely, that the deck will be implemented into the game.

i think people just find it funny to make decks wich they like to see/play as a fg.

I agree that it could be a total waste of time, but fantasizing about a fantasy game is sort of the point.  We currently have an entire section of Card Ideas that have 0 guarantee of ever being implemented in the game, but people seem to enjoy the exercise anyway.  I say putting all the clutter in one pile is better than letting it muck up everything else.

Zanz is constantly looking for new ideas and have used ideas made by the community, most recent example is Voodoo Doll. FG's are different because Zanz hasn't said anything about wanting new FG decks. In fact, unless I'm mistaken, he said that 24 is the number of FG's that he's happy with at this time.

I feel that having a specific section for FG proposals would encourage people to post them which would be a waste of their time. Like I said earlier, if new FG's are needed at some point, we can always have a competition.

...but I guess we could have that forum section if everyone wanted it. Good thing about it would be that FG ideas would have time to develop until the time comes when Zanz decides he wants new ones.

The Council has 294 more important things to decide first.

And matters like these might be too micro management for the Council who usually makes only "big picture" decisions. But we'll see..
