Yes, I merged both threads. I saw one and thought I was experiencing deja vú. Turns out I was.

Sometimes I'll catch myself before replying in a thread by thinking "do I really want this to show up in my 'new replies' for the forseable future?"  Kinda wish I'd done that before I started replying to all those forum games, oh well. 

How about an option to delete our own posts?

I like the idea of being able to delete your own posts. Other forums I have been in have that and it can be useful when your mouth runs away from you.. although modify does a similar job.
