as neither of these suggestions are major,  i would like to make this into a "double suggestion"
1. the icons that show whether there have been any new posts after you've visited someplace, that start of  :time and after you've been someplace turn to  :darkness
*suggestion 2 removed*

I don't understand what you're suggesting to be changed in number one, and number two...I'm not aware of a Spell-checking device existing on the forums.  Are you sure you're not confusing this with your internet browser automatically checking everything you type for you?

Why would 1) be necessary? I can confirm it's only your browser.

UNNECESSARY!
Do you want to explain why you think it's unnecessary?

Well, I hoped it was clear enough. Anyway, here is why I think it's unnecessary: The yellow colour stands out well on the gray background so you can already see which parts of the forum have new posts easily. On the other hand, if there are no new posts in the sub-forum the icon has a lower contrast (gray colour) which doesn't stand out anymore so you can just ignore it. Making forums with new posts have :darkness as an icon and :death for no new posts sounds like flexibility that is just not needed here. There is no need for it, and the practical use for it is really low. And while some people will like this, others won't, and there are other forum suggestions with higher priority than this suggestion here.

Long story short, see my last post ;)
