Delete the closed forum games? https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=5707.msg58454#msg58454

The old, spam-full forum games are now locked. However, they are taking up 75% of the page(s?). So, somebody should delete them, in order to un-clutter the section.

We don't delete old topics around here because they can still offer information or entertainment value to someone. Only trolling, etc. threads get deleted.

I will most likely at some point make an "Archive" sub-forum (like in Events and Competitions) where we can move all the games that have ended.

Doesn't that partly defeat the point of why we closed them. I thought we closed them so that the forum would not have as much stuff to load or store (don't know how web pages work) so it would load faster but if they're still there then it makes no difference and means that the only thing we got from closing them was no more pages would be aded to the topics.

Hard drive space is not the problem here. We have tons of that. The problem is tons of one-word posts and threads with 100,000,000 posts. Those slow down the loading for all forum users.

The "new" forum games section already looks much better. We have a bunch of very interesting games with more depth than before.

Quality over quantity wins every time.

Ok, I started an archive and moved all the old games there.

Locking thread.
