I thought about using the Crucible system but I think it would have gotten too complex. I chose a more simple system, but we can always upgrade it later if we want.

Basically decks are moved to archive based on two things:

1. View count
2. Number of replies

Best and/or most popular decks get the most views and most replies.

It's not a perfect system by any means, but it's a very simple system which is great. All Deck Helpers need to do is list posts based on replies or views, and then copy-paste them on the Deck Archive. Super easy.

I haven't decided the actual numbers yet, but we will have maybe 4-5 different "levels", starting from "New Decks" and ending in "Hall-of-Fame".

Here's and example of what it looks like: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,9031.msg114885#msg114885 . It just like the Crucible, all decks are listed there, and the image acts as a link.

Suggestions:
-Concept Decks
-New Decks
-Fun Decks
-Tested Decks*
-Viable Decks*
-Hall of Fame Decks
*Could be combined

Concept decks would be for those decks people post that aren't really etched out or completely done tweaking yet but are still good, new decks are decks that just haven't proven themselves yet or something, fun decks would be for decks that aren't quite viable but well thought out and fun, tested/viable decks would be for good decks that do well at what they're supposed to do, but aren't necessarily the best, and hall of fame would be, well, the best.

Yes, I thought about similar names. "Fun Decks" could be made to it's own child forum, while other "levels" would be in every child forum.

Main problem I had was: how to do the levels so that the user can instantly see which level is higher? Your "tested" and "viable" are an example of this because the user might not know which one is better.

Maybe something like:

1. New Decks
2. Popular Decks
3. Very Popular Decks
4. Hall of Fame
5. Classic Decks (now obsolete)

I don't know..

Problem with "Concept Decks" is that I would like Deck Archive to have only "finished" decks. Otherwise it's going to be full very fast.

More ideas and comments please.

The problem with that is that what's our definition of new decks?

"Decks newly added to archive"
or
"Decks newly posted"

If it was the latter, the archive would get full very fast too. So maybe instead of just "New Decks" it could be named "New Additions".

Also of note is that a deck with lots of replies and/or views could just be lots of people ridiculing it. Not usually, but it's possible. So maybe when we move decks up, we should consider the content of the replies and not just the number.

Hey that table idea is pretty cool. :) We could even use the icons to make it look more epic:

ENEMY TYPESTRENGTH
Level 3::time :time :time :time :time  Very Strong
T50:time :time :time :darkness :darkness  Moderately Strong
Half-Blood:time :darkness :darkness :darkness :darkness  Weak
False-Gods:time :darkness :darkness :darkness :darkness  Weak
PVPVariable
I have an idea for variable. If it's between Weak and Fairly Strong, we could do this:
  :entropy :entropy :entropy :entropy :darkness

Entropy is randomness, so it makes sense for variable. I would replace time with aether too, because Aether is more orderly and constructed.

I think it should be deck helpers job to recieve new deck idea PMs, check if they are tested/work, and upload them to the proper category. Yes, im making thier lives
:fire HELL :fire

But seriously, it would help many people find reliable smooth decks.

I wouldn't blame you at all XD

It would help, but it'd be a lot of strain on just one person, seeing as Icy isn't here now :(
