I forgot to mention that we don't need threads for regular Pillars/Towers. Quantum Pillar/Tower we should keep because it's special, others you can just remove.

Thanks.

Gravity and Water sections are done. Although, being a bit of a perfectionist, I don't like the white border around some of the cards that were on the forum wiki. :|

Yes, those card images suck. I hate them all with a passion. Let this be a lesson to all aspiring web designers out there, never make images with that kind of "cool" shadow effect.

New card images are on my to-do-list. We need PNG-images with transparent corners so that they look perfect against any background. It's a lot of work but this game is based on cards and having something other than perfect is unacceptable.

Does it have to be a .png? I have always used .jpg images. What benefit does a png have over jpg?

I can help you with the card images. Just let me know what image specs you plan on using so we can have a standardized format.

Reason why JPG fails with Elements cards is that..

1. Elements cards have rounded corners
2. JPG doesn't support transparency (all images have to be rectangle)

This means that with JPG you have to choose a background color, and it looks like crap against other backgrounds.

PNG on the other hand has transparency which means that it looks perfect against all backgrounds, as seen on this icon used in our navigation.

PNG also uses 24k colors and therefore has a better image quality.

I'm hoping we can find a non-screenshot way of taking these images which would give us pixel-perfect results. But we would need chriskangs help to do that, although I'm not sure if it is even possible in the first place.

Okay, cool. I knew that jpg had some restrictions on it, just didn't realize that was the kicker. Yeah, without the actual art it would take too long to photoshop each card.

So SG are you going to design new cards and put them on the wiki so that we can upload them in place of the crappy old ones?
