also sry that i won't follow up this discussion (tl/dr most of it). But lets take a look at what you are trying to do.

Seems like you don't like Anime and don't want to be associated with folks who do like them, as you think they are childish / inapropriate / whatever.
 - Let's assume we ban all anime for avatars (I won't mind, mine is from a cartoon anyway :3 ).
All right, then I'll start a new thread: Let's ban all music related stuff in avatars, as most of the music is making my ears bleed and I don't want to be associated with folks who listen to techno and/or rap because [insert random prejudice].
 - Banned. If we ban animes for the same reason, I don't see a valid point why we shouldn't ban music related stuff as well. (Sry Timer, you are screwed )
Additionally, I hate words. Whenever I read words, they put thoughts and pictures in my brain which I didn't ask for. Stuff not related to elements is not something I'd like to see when surfing on this board.
 - Great, let's ban all words and letters in avatars as well.
Yet again, I dislike pretty much everything in this world except elements and feel offended by even seeing it, as it remembers me of my miserable life as a failure in RL. (all right, not entirely true, but it's hypothetical anyway)

And what I'm saying is most EtG players also watch porn. The amount of people who do some unrelated thing on a forum doesn't really matter. Most of us take showers, but that doesn't mean we should have avatars of people taking showers.

You're jumping to conclusions that I didn't make. I didn't say "Most people here do something so we should all have avatars of that." I was saying that you're going to get a lot of hate from this thread BECAUSE of the amount of people on here who like anime.

Can we please ban all anime avatars? They're ugly as sin and I feel embarrassed for associating myself with a bunch of weeaboos. It'd help EtG seem more credible to just get rid of these abominations. Thanks!

Is that seriously the best response you have?  I would expect more from the almight leader of the players union.  I have several pieces of paper from the university to prove my opinion is awesome and always masterful.  In about 2 months, I will be the doctor of informed opinions after I get another peice of paper to add to my collection.  How many pieces of paper do you have proving the awesomeness of your informed opinion?  Now please: before dissing a well respected, well educated genius, please take the time to do your homework.

Reiterating my previous post; a person's avatar is an extention of their personality.  As such they should be allowed whatever avatar they want in accordance with the usage agreement of the forum.  Any other opinion is well...uninformed.

Well I can't remember who but someone compared anime to porn so you never know, if it is treated like porn it could get banned.......
