An IRC-accessable Chat-Server please!

would be great if you could make the webchat irc-accessable, i really don't like this webchat.. :-/

The web chat serves ad space which is very unobtrusive and got an inbuilt radio. You'll learn to like it. We all have :3

The current chat is not perfect by any means but I personally think it does the job, and customized features like the forum post news ticker make it "special".

I'm updating it to a newer version of the same software which will have less bugs and more features like the ability to block users, afk, etc. Hopefully that will convert some of the haters.

Yes indeed, the quick links are perfect. Thanks to them I no longer have any substantial annoyance with the chat. The chat have been very stable the last weeks. SG You must have improved performance a lot I believe?
Even the error 7's that occurred before are gone.

There are still a few bugs but it might be on my end such as browser's fault.

1.  Sometimes when I try to send a message by hitting enter, it doesn't let me.
2.  In the most extreme case, it happened once that the chat doesn't update for over a few minutes and suddenly I get flooded by all the lines of chat.
3.  The forum ticker for some reason can move into the enter-your-chat-message-box area and I can't type into it anymore.

Scroll bar would also be awesome

I am 99% sure that these are caused by bad connection on your part.  I have horrible internet connection, so it happens to me quite a bit.  It used to be that I would get kicked out of the chat entirely every time my connection hiccuped, but now I simply get a freeze followed by a flood of messages, as you described.

I don't mind about the client itself. It's just that i got a pretty slow computer running linux. Flash is a big task for it, especially thanks to adobes real bad linux client. I just can't open two flash-apps (elements & chat) and still play, it's too slow for me. :-(
