WORK IN PROGRESS!
Hello all...
This is some of the main things we are planning to change or keep the same this Brawl. These changes are not set in stone, so if you are against them, or if you want to say that you like them, don't hesitate to post in this topic to share your thoughts!
Also, do not forget to vote to the polls of this topic!
Same RolesNot any changes here, except if people wish for Forum Expert to come back in the form of a new Minister (you can vote for it in the according poll). As long as nothing changes, the tasks/roles will be five (5): Boss (The President), Deck Builder (Minister of Defense), Card Designer (Minister of Technology), Writer (Minister of Education) and Artist (Minister of Propaganda).
Variable Team Sizes & Dynamic RolesWe are keeping variable team sizes and dynamic roles. Dynamic roles means that individual players are no longer locked to a specific role. Variable team sizes means that the Boss is free to include as few players as he or she wants in his team during auction. The maximum number of players in a team will be 5 (the number of different tasks).
Since it is possible that this means that more people than usual will be left behind in the auction, depending on how many players are left, one or several extra teams might be created by some or all of the remaining players.
We Are Keeping Events!Last Brawl we used Events instead of Event Cards (or instead of no event cards at all), and now we are planning to keep them. Events will have direct impact on the story of Brawl. Each Event will have some choice to be made for all teams, and the choice will affect the story in future rounds. The choices will also affect future tasks in some non-obvious way. For example, a Deck-Building task might have "If you chose option A last round, your deck must have at least 3 creatures. If you chose option B, your deck must have at least 3 spells". The reasons will have story-explanations, and some hints to what might happen will be included in the Event. On top of these Events, some tasks will be specal, and winning them will give you tasks changes similar to Events in future rounds.
Team Voting Will Be As Strong As Regular Voting! Not many changes here (though for some people this is a big change), except if people wish for Teams not to be able to vote at all or to vote with a limited power (you can vote for it in the according poll).
Just like last Brawl, the main focus on voting will still rely on outside voters and the voter's panel, but this time, due to the fact of the very few outside votes that had being cast in the previous Forum Brawls, the teams will be able to vote at the same power level of the voter's panel and the outside voters. Better have more "unfair" votes rather than no votes at all, right?
ThemeThe theme will be Nations!
Challenges & WagersThere will be both Challenges and Wagers this brawl but there will be limited to ONLY ONE challenge and ONLY ONE wager per team per brawl. That means that a team must think strategically because it can use that "superweapon" only once!
No PvP Battle, but a mini-game instead! There will be a mini-game active during all the rounds of the Forum Brawl event. The event will have to do about your country and how it expands its border around it (conquering new areas) and collecting resources (points) or even "attacking" an area of a hostile nation. These "battles" will be completely Brawl-related and no EtG or PvP will be included. I won't say more for now in order not to spoil the fun.
