You're missing the point. Regardless of how many times it repicks a pillar, it will eventually land on a pillar and stay there. If it lands on multiple pillars and stays there, only two scenarios occur: either those pillars are all the same pillar, or they're not. If they ARE all the same pillar, the player spinning has a decent chance of winning a pillar. If they're not, the chance of winning either individual kind of pillar is -- at BEST -- half of what it would've been if they were all the same kind of pillar.
