Lol, I saw the same thing and did the same thing around the same time.  And this was after a couple hours of farming top-50 with no success.  I guess one of us should have stayed on a bit longer if we knew what was good for us.
I had a string of good luck recently, so I was hoping to give some of it back. Although, after seeing how many people post farms at night, I might have stayed on a little while to see what came up.

Let me get this straight. The current decks of the weekly Top 50 players are put up, regardless of the quality of the decks. Is that right? And so people are exploiting this quirk (bug? oversight?) by giving others the opportunity to farm rare cards without a fight. And they are proud of themselves for helping fellow players.  :o

Wouldn't it be easy enough to have a qualification process for a deck, not a player?
The deck you face is whatever deck the player had last time they saved, the list of available names is taken from the weekly top 50.

As for exploiting- this is the way the game was designed. Since the spinners are not truly random, but based off of whatever deck you faced that is what would need to be changed to fix it. Zanzarino has tweaked the system many times to make it harder to win rares off of rare farms but the fact he hasn't addressed the fundamental design decision makes it seem to me this is OK with him.

zanzarino does a decent enough job clearing out the hackers. I've never seen more than a few at any time- maybe 8 max. Even when he wasn't actively working on the game, I'd notice the list get cleaned up once in a while. So keep working at it and you'll make the top 50 if you really want it bad enough.
