Farm question (newbie) https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=25312.msg322463#msg322463

I've looked in the wiki and forums and I have not seen this asked or answered directly. I understand the concept of a rare farm, and I have even used one, but I am not clear if I am doing it the right way. The way I did it was this:

I clicked on "Top 50", and when it randomly assigned me to an opponent deck, I just hoped that I would get one of the farm decks. But that means that a lot of the time, it is not a farm deck, and then I either quit that battle (and lose 15 electrum), or try out the battle anyway, just for practice. But it seems like some other people, when they make farm requests, are doing this some other way?

With farm request you can only hope, that you will find that player who listened to your request. By requesting you merely increase your chance to find someone.
Try to find a deck, which beats most Top50, so you can win games, even though they are not farms. Or keep looking for farms as you did before. There is no 'other way' around.

I used to quit often in t50 when matched up against a non-farm, and it eventually costed me a lot of score and electrum until I began playing every match, so I highly recomend using a deck that can win quickly against non-farms as well. In this way, even if you don't get a farm you'll gain some electrum/score (or at least not lose as much).

This deck is a very nice option:

Well that might not be the most suitable for new players (upped cards) but I played a simple immolation golem rush as well, and winning quickly and with a great percentage.

There's also an unupgraded version for that deck in the 1st post (and a construction guide for new players as well). Of course it's not as efficient as the upped version, but should work out fine. :)
