Chat problems?

for whoever does the chat, I needed to disable search/surf shield of AVG 2011 (luckily, just extra unneeded features) for chat to start working again

Yes, I fail by using IE8. I'll go change it now. Maybe then I can actually have a full conversation on chat before having the whole thing freeze

The chat is broken! No one can read what they're saying (I use FF)
You can still read it in history, although that looks somewhat scrambled, too.

Yes, I can confirm this as well (tested with FF, IE and chrome). What's interesting - only the main room is affected. The tourney rooms are working.

Chat is broken but not useless. You can still talk to people.

Step 1.) Click "History" at the top of the chat below the buttons.
Step 2.) Read the history and start talking to someone. Close the history.
Step 3.) Click on history again and see your message. A few minutes later, open history again and see if anyone responded.

EDIT: Or just go to a tourney room.

EDIT: Most simple option yet: Stay in the original room and talk normally because it is fixed.

google chrome still has problems with chat for me...  I use google chrome and ask tikotribe, shantu or the mormegil; I have chat issues.

It freezes for up to 2 minutes, then a ton of messages appear at once, then it freezes again.  Sometimes it is fixed for about 1 minute if I refresh the page...  but then it freezes again.  Usually, when I'm saying something, I know it froze because when I press enter to send the message, the message doesn't disappear from the typing box.  Even if it does disappear, it shows up where everyone can see it about 30 or more seconds late.

EDIT:  downloaded FF and it seems to work fine.
