Unoffical contest: The quest for the fastest T50 farmer https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=8036.msg90226#msg90226

In this thread, people will post their T50 farmers which they believe win matches the fastest and most efficiently.  To enter the contest, you MUST give stats!  Here is how you give stats...

Do 100 t50 games, and track the average number of your turns it takes to win.  Also track the number of losses.  We will then average out which deck kills in the least amount of turns, on average.

Losses will be incorporated into that average by being given a value of likely 10-20 turns, a penalty for the time wasted, in addition to the lost rating and money.  It's not set in stone yet, but it will be quite detrimental to your average, that's for sure. So, here's an example calculation:

Match 1: 4 turn win
Match 2: 6 turn win
Match 3: 5 turn win
Match 4: 5 turn win
Match 5:  Loss (15 turn penalty)

35/5 = 7 turn average.

Feel free to post your deck before you finish your testing, either for feedback, or for other people to test it.  But to enter into the contest officially you must do 100 matches and track the losses and number of turns to win.

Good Luck!

We already have a thread very similar to this one (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,1875.0.html) but hopefully this one will attract more people.

Ah, I missed that thread... I wonder which algorithm would be preferable, a calculation based on turns taken may be less influenced by luck than an electrum-based calculation.

I don't see why there can't be both.  If you're grinding for money/score obviously you want a better electrum based calculation.  But if you're grinding for cards, the turns calculation would be better.  But either way the score is going to be skewed by the number of rare farms out at the time.  Maybe keep track of the number of non-biting farms you run into as well?

EDIT: HA! I should have been keeping track... I just had a 3 turn win... :P

Ive created a excel/open office calc spreadsheet to automatically calculate your averages among other things. I recommend filling this out as you go. It can also give you hits as to wh
at decks you are weak against etc if you fill it out in full.

T50 efficiency can't be measured very well. One could, for example, play on Sunday with a deck and win a lot, but on Friday, the same person's deck could not work, because of the better players in T50. There's also the rare farms variable, which can change the results a lot.

yeah xdude you made a point, and it's true,
the enviroment in t50 is so mush susceptible to many variables, making any kind of statistics almost useles,
whataver i'll do it just for fun ;)

i am posting my first quarter of test, i'll finish next week and i'll post my deck too:

right now i have a ~8 turn average (fast rainbow)
