Good if you're about to deck out, good if you're an annoying life stall, good if you don't want to scavenge all of those frogs out of your deck. Not that useless, all things considered. SERIES:

This is true.
The defensive usage, however, is also stronger, because frogs are more useful than relics.

Useless Vermin offers a new gameplay of disrupting opponent deck strategy.
When Useless Vermin is used more than once, it still offers more profits in disrupting opponent.

Useless Infestation offers a double way gameplay, you can give yourself Elite Horned Frogs to
change your deck into a rush deck but still possible to disrupt opponent deck instead.

Aimed at the self, 'Useless' Infestation easily let one circumvent the 6-copy clause creatures have and/or buy some time from the creeping deckout. Aimed at an enemy without source of Life quanta, UV/UI will screw it.

The extra five Relics/Giant Frogs are placed into the target player's deck, regardless if the deck contained 0, 5, 15, or 50 cards, am I correct?

The thing to remember about the 6-copy rule is that, when people complain about that rule being broken, they point to Fractal.
The problem with fractal is that it puts them into your hand. If fractal shuffled 8 copies of it into your deck, it would be much, much weaker.

And you are correct, Basman - it's just five copies shuffled into your whatever is currently in your deck.
