Interesting concept. I almost wish it were a different element though. Maybe time since time has annubis? Just my opinion though since i'm not particularly fond of in element counters. I also think the damage reduction may be a little too high.
Also, why not let this include immaterial weapons as well? It would make for an ammusing alternate use for enchant artifact

Why would a card have to counter something in its own element?  Holy Light doesn't deal damage to enemy creatures.  I think it's fine.

Why would a card have to counter something in its own element?  Holy Light doesn't deal damage to enemy creatures.  I think it's fine.

the idea is that it works in conjuntion with quint or the nymph, also the fire shield counters most fire creatures pretty effectively...

So I made this card before shard of wisdom, which helps give aether a use for quint (though it does still require a second element), so I will add that this does reduce spell damage done by SoWed creatures.

I am afraid this card is too situational and it is too powerful when it finally finds any use. In general, too situational cards do not have great community support...
By the way, Aether Nymph is ultra-rare and powerful by her own right. Furthermore, 4-5 DR is too much and it will make Aether Nymph slighly overpowered, giving reusable CC. I am not sure if I personally like this card or not, but Russian's way of thinking is interesting nonetheless.

Cards should be able to be played standalone, or have synergy with a few other cards. This is nearly useless by itself, and only useful with quint (nymph is ultra rare).

What about something like:

It'd make it slightly less situational, but still really good in conjunction with quint/anubis/turq nymph.
