I'm curious, what would happen if you lost a game where all the damage was from these creatures? Would elemental mastery cause you to lose less or more?
It shouldn't affect you if you LOSE with EM.

I don't want to make this a weapon. I want this to be a creature, because the green shard is a permanent and the blue shard is a spell. This "trinity" thing makes sense.

Just because it shouldn't affect you doesn't necessarily mean it won't. That was more a question of how the game would handle it than how it should be handled.

Surely the yellow shard messes up your "trinity" already?

It does, indeed. Seems like Zanz does not value consistency all that much.

After he makes the yellow shard, we now need a shard for every color.

Yellow is not a primary color in RGB (light), but it is a primary color in RYB (dye). You can't have both...

Or maybe the shards can represent Fire, Water, Earth, and Air? But then we'll need a shard to represent every element...

While that may be so, just about every 4 coloured game (or anything of that sort) I've come across has those 4. Presumably the eye sees them as more basic than other colours in some way.

And I'm not convinced with your fire, water, earth and air suggestion. The current colours fit much better into the japanese fire, water, earth and wood system (again red, blue, yellow, green).

The Japanese system is Air, Thunder, Water, Fire, and Earth. The Chinese system is Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth. I'm Chinese, so I probably know those things better than you.

I don't see why purple is not one of the more notable colors. To me, the five "primary" colors are red, yellow, green, blue, and purple. But then again, I see yellow as the combination of red and green, purple as the combination of red and blue... Thus I want to have the RGB shards, then combine those shards to make secondary and tertiary colored Crystals and Gems...

OK, we're getting way off topic. I assume that the card itself has no problems now, right?

I loved your Wither Beast idea, and this card as well - but I guess from the above combo, it could be a huge showstopper against other players (assuming you had aether quanta and a couple of novas), and if one of these cards was repeatedly buffed with things like Blessing, Chaos Power, or some other spell...

OK please explain this EM glitch ---- i think you mean (and i someone said before) you would die with EM did they not??
when actually you would have 0 health and so EM would not occur as 0 is nothing and you cant a) win with nothing, nor b) get 0/0 (unless you summon super massive BHs by dividing by 0)


also the comment about it being unhealble isn't true -- you can 'heal' it with stone skin even though it is unlikely
still the fract thing is an issue - another reason for editing this into the ROF range

I still say that a shard as a creature is way too farfetched. Sure, there are spell and permanent shards, but those make sense. I don't understand how a piece of raw elemental ore representing a virtue can grow legs and hit someone.
