It's a shame that I didn't push this idea more and kind of let it die alone. I do think that Elements needs a "time bomb". Cards that have that kind of delayed effect are really cool because they are great at building suspense. !Omg, it's going to explode soon!".
I get a quiet little thrill whenever Unstable Gas hits the field.
I'd also like to say I enjoy what has been done here: a card fails in the votes, gets cast aside, is revived, picked apart, advice is given to newcomers.
Perhaps a particular thread where a set amount of cards (2 or 3) are pulled from the archives each month. These cards are then discussed and possible improvements/tweaks/changes are suggested. Any new cards related to the original must also go thru this "Revival Stage" before going into the Crucible, to avoid spamming multiple cards that all do approximately the same thing.
Further to this, I would suggest that the original creator of the cards be present (if possible) on the forums when said cards are "Revived." This might avoid people thinking their idea was stolen, so to speak.
